Object with a feathered edge

I want to place a circle with a feathered edge in to Animate. I know how to feather in PSD but when I save as a png for Animate it is made of rough dots?

What's the proper proceedure to get feathered elements into Animate?

are you using save to web and devices and png-24?

Ahhh Ok. Got it.

Print designer moving from indesign dps into tools like Edge. So I will have alot of basic question in the next few months get this new program to merge with my digital publications.

This kinda pertains to this same issue I think?

If I have a png howcome when I applied a drop shadow in AE is shadows the box instead of the object?

In css shadows are applied to the object and if it is a transparent png the object is the bounding box. So you need to put your shadows in the png and use png-24.
