To include smart (curly) quotes in a font using fontswf I used: -u U+0020-0230
The default option didn't include them.
If a font family has more than normal/normal, normal/italic, bold/normal and bold/italic font variants, can they be used in a Flex application? It appears from this article that you can only use 4 variants that conform to those 4 combos.
If you can use more than those 4, how do you reference them and apply them in TLF?
Each fontFamily can only have four variants. If you have more than four TTF files corresponding to different variants of a single font family, you can embed all of them, but choose a different fontFamily for the value of fontFamily for the others. Usually the variants have a subgrouping like “Light” or “Condensed”
