Depends on how far of a Preview release are you referring to? Some items may be affected, but by and large, it should be fine.
I'd suggest opening the files in Animate and saving them out again and seeing if there are any issues. Maybe copy the project folders somewhere first so that you don't lose them, just in case it's a disaster, but that'd be the best way to find out. I'd imagine that you should be fine as long as the files aren't from one of the earliest preview versions.
This project was initially set up with whatever release was out out in May, I updated with every new release of preview though and the files always worked fine.
Heres hoping, thanks guys
Let us know if you have any issues. I created my original project in Preview 6 and have been resaving it every time a new version was released and I haven't had any major issues. I think you'll be fine, but I definitely like to know if you notice any problems.
If you have resaved your files with the latest version every time we've released a preview, you should be fine. We've heard of users who have had problems if they saved using Preview 3 and then left the files alone until 1.0, but we have been very careful to ensure that there is a migration path between each preview (p3 > p4, p4 > p5, etc.) so that important data isn't lost. Hope that helps!
OK sameish problem - Old Edge project in version: "1.5.0", (that's what it says in the XXX._edge.js file).
I created this project while I was using whatever that version of edge preview that was.
I upgraded to CC recently opened that project and saved a copy elsewhere. The result is, it's trashed to the point of a total RE-DO. I really want to salvage it!
. . . If you have resaved your files with the latest version every time we've released a preview, you should be fine. . . .
Ok I did NOT do that. - I did it in 1.5.0 and left it there.
Now can I download the old version to save that out as Elaine suggests would result in a working copy of my project in CC? If so where?
Thoughts on a solution?
