The anchor point is not in the center of your object. Scale and rotation are centered on the anchor point.
Thank you for your reply Rick Gerard. May I ask, would there be a simple way to centering my anchor of it's object?
It depends on whether the layer is a shape, footage, a still, or text. If it's a shape layer then open up the shape properties and look for the objects anchor point and position. Set both to 0. If it's a text layer then center the paragraph styles and adjust the baseline offset to move the anchor point to the center of the text. If it's footage or a still then open up Anchor Point property by pressing the A key and then right click and select reset. If it's a Photoshop or Illustrator file imported as a comp while maintaining layer size then the right click and reset trick will work on anchor point. If you imported PSD or AI files as a comp but did not select maintain layer size you'll have to reposition the AP manually.
