When getting updates on Adobe Flash there is an add for McAfee, which is checked as if I want it. I Don't
I don' care to have any one or any company to assume I do. Granted, I missed the check box the first
time and took me some time to sterilze my computer to be rid of it. I would imagine others have been
suckered into the same situation.
My question: can that add be removed or at least the check box be uncheched.? If not, could some one
tell me what is the name of the file that checks for updates so I may delete it?
Either uncheck that checkbox, or use the offline installer(s) from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header (if you are on Windows).
I second GeordiCat's opinion, and the solution presented in the reply isn't much help.
Having McAfee as an opt-out can be a big headache if you (like I did tonight) miss the check box. I have four computers to run this on, and I'm bound to miss one if I'm in a hurry. Please make it an opt-in, or better, don't link the two software packages at all. It is very customer unfriendly. Thanks.
