    select multiple frames across multiple pages for photos frames

    suppien

      Hi guys!

      Is there any script for this out there? How can i select multiple frames across multiple pages? I want my images to fit the frames by one click. I do not want to go through each page one by one .

      thanks for the help!

          Hi,

          Use this:

          app.activeDocument.splineItems.everyItem().fit(FitOptions.CONTENT_TO_FRAME);

          another parameters:

          FitOptions.CENTER_CONTENT

          FitOptions.PROPORTIONALLY

          FitOptions.FRAME_TO_CONTENT

          FitOptions.FILL_PROPORTIONALLY

          FitOptions.APPLY_FRAME_FITTING_OPTIONS

          hope...

            @suppien_ – just an explanation: you cannot *select* objects on multiple spreads at one time.

            But: you can address (no selection necessary) multiple objects on all locations in one InDesign file by scripting.

            Jump_over did that with "everyItem()" on all "splineItems" of the active document.

            "splineItems", that means all regular or irregular objects (graphic lines, rectangles incl. squares, ovals incl. circles and polygons).
            "SplineItems" are new to InDesign CS5. So this line of code will NOT work in InDesign CS4 or below.
