    Sager NP9150 - NVIDIA 675m or 675mx

I am using Premiere Pro CS6. I currently don't use After Effects, but plan to in the future. I am planning on purchasing a laptop that will be used for HD video editing. Here are the specs I am considering:

      Sager NP9150

      Intel i7-3740QM (2.7Ghz)

      NVIDIA GeForce 675m with 2GB GDDR5 RAM

8GB DDR3 RAM (will upgrade in the future)

      750GB 7200rpm Hard Drive

      Windows 7

I have been researching laptops for a few months now, and I understand the 675m is not officially supported with the Mercury rendering engine, but there is a workaround available to make it work on this page http://studio1productions.com/Articles/PremiereCS5.htm

I have the option of upgrading to the 675MX with 4GB RAM for $200. Would it be worth it -- in providing faster render times?

Overall, I'm wondering if this will work well with the CS6 suite.

Both work great. The difference is 2 or 4 GB VRAM. If you edit large dimension material, like RED or EPIC, then get the 4 GB version, otherwise the 2 GB version will suffice.

Looking at your choices, the first one should be to up memory to 16 GB and add at least one, or better two hard disks, rather than the XM version of the graphics card.
