1. Re: Acrobat 9 pro crashes when using Clear Scan OCR on OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion)
AvvocatD Nov 16, 2012 3:49 PM (in response to tony tool)I have the same problem. I'm running latest Mountain Lion (latest update) and Adobe 9.5.2 (latest update). Adobe usually crashes when OCR'ing. I've notice it since I've been running Mountain Lion. Also, I run a MBP Retina with highest hardware upgrades, Adobe Almost always crashes on that machine when doing large OCR tasks. The only thing I can figure is the MBP Retina is too fast for Adobe OCR software since the Retina crashes more than my HDD Mountain Lion machines. I wish Adobe would support Mac.

JimS41 Dec 29, 2012 11:57 PM (in response to tony tool)I'm experiening the same issue on a Mac Pro with Acrobat 9.5.2 and Mac OS X 10.8.2. I seriously doubt the crash is related to a Retina display.
I, too, wish that Adobe would support Mac.

JC_Berger Mar 26, 2013 11:31 AM (in response to JimS41)Yeah, they kind of decided to just write off the issue. I mean "Searchable image" works, but for whatever reason ClearScan decides to just crash the program. I wonder if there is a licensing issue. God only knows how much time I've spent dealing with the licensing software in some of their other products (i.e. Premiere Pro), so I wouldn't be surprised.
