conroy Nov 13, 2012 11:14 AM (in response to emilycornfield)If you have Illustrator then you can get the paths into Photoshop so they are editable with Photoshop's vector tools. Open the vector file in Illustrator, select the required objects and copy to the clipboard. Paste into Photoshop, choosing "Shape Layer" or "Path" when prompted.
If you don't have Illustrator and want to bring a vector file into Photoshop, you can place it in a document as a Smart Object but you won't be able to edit the vectors with Photoshop's tools.

I'm an old Freehand user, but don't have it anymore.
