I previously had this version of Elements on 2 computers and upgraded to version 10. I had to delete the version 8 prior to installation of version 10. I am now trying to activate version 8 on an old laptop and am being asked to deactivate the previous version. Can you please help ?

You should always deactivate your app before uninstalling, in case you need to use the same license on another computer.
Just got to know that you can access Adobe Help Staff and get the app deactivated by them, even in this situation.
