Just installed and tried this--the xvid program (I only installed xvid and avisynth--not the other 4 programs)could not imort the h.264 .mp4 files I have exported from AME-- so could not proceed further-- I will keep looking
do i have to install all the features of xvid to inport h.264 mp4?

My H.264 files open just fine so...quite possibly.
imported a h.264 .mp4 video and want to export that same video- untouched no need to encode vid but get rid of audio track-- when I go to video--demux it shows the new file it wants to create with a h.264 extension instead of .mp4 and when I export even if I change the extension I cannot get the exported file to playback--in vlc What am I doing wrong??
any ideas on the CORRECT way to accomplish this?
Choose Copy for the video setting and None for audio. That should work for any container that can handle the video codec.
I figured that would work but for some reason the resulting files did not play correctly--Alternatively I used Mpegstreamclip -opened the video I wanted to erase audio track from--- clicked on "edit--delete audio track" then clicked "save as" and this finally accomplished what I was trying to do--Now have a copy of the .mp4 file wo audio
Thanks for all your help--Hope this thread helps someone in the future
