1. Re: Distiller Watched Folders not working Acrobat 9.5.2, Mountain Lion.
mytaxsite.co.uk Nov 19, 2012 5:29 PM (in response to benwiggy)Could it be anything to do with folder permissions? These days the operating systems are obsessed with security and so many of the things we took for granted aren't working as they should!!.
I am on a Windows system so I know nothing about Mountain Lion.

benwiggy Nov 20, 2012 12:05 AM (in response to mytaxsite.co.uk)Thanks for the thought. No, it's not permissions. As I say, Distiller can distill a file that is drag 'n' dropped on it from that location and it will save a PDF file to that folder.
The problem occurs even when the folders are within the user domain, where permissions should not be an issue. It also happens on folders that have full rwxrwxrwx attributes.
Watched folders work fine on another computer with the same setup, so it isn't any annoying sandboxing that is stopping everyone from doing anything -- as you say!

benwiggy Nov 22, 2012 10:20 AM (in response to benwiggy)No one?
I got it working briefly after deleting the entire contents of the /Library/Application Support/Adobe folder. (System level, not user.)
But as soon as I reinstalled the other Adobe stuff, it all stopped again.
As I say, identical setups on other machines have no problem. What is weird is that is appears to process the PDF. I get the progress bar in the Distiller window, and the log that the PDF was placed in the correct folder. But NO FILE!!!
