1. Re: Using a gift voucher to make a booking

2. Re: Using a gift voucher to make a booking
justasking506 Nov 18, 2012 6:28 PM (in response to Liam Dilley)Thanks for the suggestion but then they couldn't use the 3 day reminder and follow up emails feature of the bookings. They'd have to do some kind of manual report to extract the details of the people who purchased the product/event as well rather than looking up a list of subscribers. Good to keep in mind for a future setup, but it's taken me ages to teach this client how to setup and manage the bookings to this point (not a very pc savvy client) so the pain (and time involve) in changing the whole process is not worth it. I may have another workaround. The client has a pay by cheque option which doesn't require ccard or anything. I might setup the voucher as a product so a user can purchase. Then the recipient just goes and makes a booking, selects the "cheque / gift voucher" option. And change the "amount" field label to "amount or gift voucher code". The client can then manually tee up the voucher code with the product purchased, same as if they'd manually confirm receipt of cheque before booking was confirmed. Hope I'm making sense and hope this works - I'll go and try it.

3. Re: Using a gift voucher to make a booking
Liam Dilley Nov 18, 2012 7:43 PM (in response to justasking506)You can replicate similar with decent workflows and newsletters and aniversary dates, not 100% the same but something that works nicely.
Product reports same as booking reports in the data so that is not to much of an issue.
You basically can not use vouchers in bookings at this time. Your suggestion will work but it could be a bit cumbersome, see how you get on.
