Step one is to upgrade to 8.0.1.
I deleted the preferences and updated to version 8.01, but InDesign Still doesnt work. I also found that Illustrator is having the same problem of not responding. What should I do now.

Hi Pmakarov1, are you running anything like Pitstop Inspector or anything like that. My problem started when I made PDFS from Indesign use to Crash then I would open a document would open then crash, then it snowballed from there. I ended up deleting preferences and reloading the entire CS suite collection. Not sure but I also downloaded disable Adobe Indesign Background task http://www.existonline.com.au/blog/disable-adobe-indesign-background-tasks/
