In the Paragraph palette, which is with the Character palette, tick Align Right; you will have to move the column back in place (you may determine its position before you change).

Set your text object to align left.
Invoke the tab ruler.
Set a right tab stop just left of center of your text object.
Set a left tab stop just right of center.
Then...
Type a tab character.
Type the left column text.
Type a tab character.
Type the right column text.
Type a return.
Repeat for each facing-column line.
Also read the documentation about how to use Paragraph Styles, so you can store the above setup.
