In Trapcode Particular, can you stop an Emitter from emitting, but still have the particles already "alive" move on? Let's say you have the Emitter (located at the far left of the screen) emit particles that take a few seconds to travel to the far right of the screen. I would like to stop the Emitter from emitting, but still see the particles already alive travel to the far right of the screen.
Is this possible? Thanks
It's not only possible, it's the default behavior. Just like with most particle systems, particles in Particular are given their attributes at birth and will act according to them. They don't simply die just because you shut off the emitter.
It may sound like an obvious or stupid question, but how do you stop an Emitter from imitting?
Just found the way. I keyframed the number of emitted particles/sec to 0.
