What's up guys. I'm new here and I need some help. I shot a music video on my 60d at 1920x1080 24fps. I finished my first edit and when I exported and uploaded I noticed that my vid lost some quality when it appeared on YouTube. I was told about Apple pro res but I'm on PC so I would opt for DNxHD. My question is this: Do I need to import my footage into DNxHD first, then edit and export? Or can I just keep the edit I have and export it differently? I'm trying to get the best quality possible. The footage looks great when I edit but when I upload it almost looks like I recorded with a flip cam, not a 60d. Any help is very much appreciated, thanks!
what are your export settings?
This isn't entirely unexpected. Your YouTube uploads will not look as good as the original. This may simply be a case of too high expectations.
Post the YouTube link so we can have a look.
