I have downloaded shape shifter and Free Form Pro from Mettle. It's pretty amazing! But it runs slow on my machines. I'm guessing this is a ram graphics card issue. I've tried it on two computers, a Mac with OSX, 12 gigs in ram, and an ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB. And also on my PC, with 8 gigs of ram, Windows 7 64 bit, with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670. But on both computers it runs nowhere near as fast as it does for the people giving the tutorials. Any suggestions?
Both Shapeshifter and FreeForm rely on the GPU. The system requirements on the Mettle page explicitly say that they need more VRAM than you have in your graphics card:
As Todd said, it is indeed a graphics issue. Your cards are on the lowest end of the spectrum and weren't even current anymore when Shapeshifter was released. You seriously need to consider getting a different one, at least for your Windows machine. Even a model from the budget tray from the now expiring 68xx series will beat your card easily, not to speak of any current 7xx series cards...
