Welcome to the forum.
I know of no way to alter the color of the Bounding Boxes for any Objects in Titler.
Perhaps a Feature Request is in order: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/878528?tstart=0
In similar fashion, PC-users have requested the ability to change the Cursor colors, like on a Mac, but Adobe keeps telling us that it's an issue with how MS Windows handles colors, and it cannot be done.
Deselect Show Background Video, this will give you a checkered background. (The eye on the far right in the preview window)
It's more that I've got the background colour set to white, with black text, which means blacking bg video won't really help.
The work around is to make your text colour strange and do it over black, though it seems a bit backward.
Thanks for your help though.
The only problem with that method is that if one is doing Object placement, alignment, etc., around subjects in the video, they can no long see that video to act as a guide.
I suppose that one could do a Frame Capture, take it into PS, Desaturate it, then place that onto the Timeline, so that it acted like a guide, the problem would be solved.
OK, temporarily set the background color in the Titler to say red and lower the opacity to 50%, that will show the handles better.
How about temporarily placing a Colored Matte below the Title (sort of what I mentioned in my Reply to Ann)? The Colored Matte would be much easier - New Icon>Colored Matte.
I do similar with Alignment Guides, for things like PiP. I just have to remember to Delete those, or turn OFF that Video Track, before I Export.
Just thinking here, and good luck,
Now that sounds like a plan.
I've more or less solved this problem, just appeared like an odd workflow to solve a relatively simple problem.
Just thought there'd be better handle view controls like in PS and AI
If you select your text ( drag the text tool over it)...does the highlighting assist you?
I have never had any issues with TEXT on white or black bgs so I am kind of wondering what you are doing thats different to me.
Can you screen grab the issue?
