how do I make a capsule shape?

    kapowd
      Hi,

I was wondering if there is an easier or nicer way to make a capsule shape. I did it by usine two circles and attaching them together with two straight lines then painting over the extra circle parts. It doesn't look that nice. Is there a better way? I wish I could post my version. It is an elongated capsule shape outlined in orange with a grey middle.
You can see what I am trying to recreate on the navbar on my website: www.kapowdesign.com I am trying to redo my site using css.
      Thanks,

      Charley

          Hi Charlie,

Two ways. Draw a rectangle and then change the corner radius by means of
the Rectangle Roundness slider in the Property inspector. The second way
would be to use the Rounded Rectangle Auto Shape.

A couple of years back, when OS X was new, the look was different enough
that a lot of people wanted to emulate it. It was known as the 'aqua'
look, and if you do a web search for 'aqua button tutorial', there are a
whole bunch of tutorials out there which will show you how to do the
buttons, along with a semi-transparent look, lighting effects, lettering.

hm. . why not just do a rounded rectangle? if not, you may be able to get what you want by starting again with the two circles, but this time just attach them with a rectangle perhaps and seclect all the items then go to modifiy>combine>union. hope this helps
