Currently we are creating an epub from an existing InDesign CS3 book file. After we export the book to digital editions, we compared the epub file to the original InDesign file. In the comparison, the epub file is missing random spaces between not just between words and sentences but punctuation as well. We looked at the actual xml file, and the spaces are completely missing. We tried changing the font, and finding and replacing all the spaces in the document to make sure the spaces existed in the InDesign file. How can we correct this issue?
For example: "Hey, my name and mug shot are on thetop.Who else would I want to focus on?" Shows on the epub file but in InDesign "Hey, my name and mug shot are on the top. Who else would I want to focus on?
EPUB from CS3? It's time to upgrade.
The EPUB tools in CS6 are lightyears ahead of anything that CS3 could do.
You're running out of time to upgrade, though I do recommend looking at Creative Cloud. The first year is only $29.99/month. Details here: http://www.adobe.com/products/discount-software-coupons.html
