Large memory bricks tend to get quite hot and will consume a lot of extra juice just because of that. They also may clock down for this same reason or show errors. It's usually a better idea to deck out all slots with smaller ones, meaning 4x16GB or 8x8GB in this case.
Yer it's 2 sets of 4 x 8gb . Was hoping to overclock a tiny amount within safe settings :s (cpu and ram) but I guess it should work - would be gutting to underclock!
No opinion on ram choice... but does your computer case have a fan in the side, to blow outside air directly onto the ram?
