I haven't downloaded Dreamweaver yet (I'm still thinkink whether it would be useful to me or not).
Is there any way, preferably a not too difficult one, to align my text so that lines correctly align?
To make it clearer, I like things such as BaselineCSS. I'd like to have all my text (main content div, sidebar, quote, h1 h2 etc..) to keep a good flow and everything to be perfectly aligned.
All in all, something that looks like you could print the page and draw horizontal lines: text would be aligned on those lines.
Sorry, somewhat difficult to explain using words only.
Owing to all the different devices people use to surf the web these days (mobiles, tablets, desktop/laptops), web design is nothing like print design. Unlike Print where page dimensions are static and unchanging, web pages must remain flexible to accommodate all users/devices.
The answer is it can't be done to pixel precision for all displays and preference settings without creating images of text. And that's not a viable option on the web because images can neither be indexed by search engines nor "seen" by language translators and screen readers.
If layout is your main priority, use PDF which is a print document instead of HTML which is a web document.
