Running tally of area population with layers in Acrobat X Pro

      Hey everybody,

I don't know if this is possible or not, but I figured I'd ask and see if any of you had done anything similar.

I have a PDF document with map layers embedded in it. The map layers are comprised of the city limits of all of the cities in the county I live and work in. I am wondering if it is possible to create a calculation/running tally of total area population that will increase or decrease a calculated number (and display the number in the PDF) when layers are turned on or off? These layers have different elements embedded in them, and they all have the city population of each different city embedded in them, so I just need some way to pull that information out of the layer and display it as a running tally on the document.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks in advance,

      Tom
