Need held with lower third title

I am trying to create a two line, lower third title, to go over a person's interview. The first line will be their name, and the second line is their title. When I create the second line, there is a large space between the first line (name) and second line (job title).  There is too much space so it looks odd. How can I move line one and line two closer together so it looks like a name and title over an interview on a newscast? I am using Premier Elements 9.

In the Titler workspace, click outside of the existing text box. This will create a new text box that you can use for your second line of text.

Using the Selection tool, you'll be able to put those two separate text boxes as close together as you'd like -- although they'll still be part of the same title.
