Stacey Bindman Dec 14, 2012 9:06 AM (in response to c.pfaffenbichler)Camtasia is a live on-going computer screen recorder.
What you can do is talk and record whatever you are doing.
For example, if you wanted to make Photoshop tutorials, you start Camtasia, and then continue.
Everything that you do with Photoshop will automatically be recorded.
When you're finished you can then edit.

c.pfaffenbichler Dec 14, 2012 9:08 AM (in response to Stacey Bindman)I am not aware that Adobe offers screen recording software, but I may have missed it.
For video editing I assume Pemiere should fit the bill.
Which OS do you work on anyway?
I assume not all screen recording programs (by other companies) are available for Windows and Macintosh.

Stacey Bindman Dec 14, 2012 9:17 AM (in response to c.pfaffenbichler)Hello,
Adobe has a program called "Captivate", which tye acquired with their purchade of Macromedia.
It's described as a program to make high-quality e-learning material. It's quite expensive relative to Camtasia.
You might want to try downloading Camtasia and see how it performs. You can also download Cativate as a trial version.
I have a screencapture (individual or scrolling program from them called "SnagIt" that is excellent.
I purchased Camtasia based on SnagIt, which are both manufactured by TechSmith. However you need to some time into this program to learn it.
It's great though for what it does, although I'm still writing PS tutorials using SnagIt, but will eventually use Camtasia.

the_wine_snob Dec 14, 2012 10:35 AM (in response to Stacey Bindman)If one is looking to edit material from Camtasia, or some other video screen-capture programs, using Adobe Premiere Pro, then this article might be useful: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2324919#2324919
Pay special attention to the replies in the linked threads, by Jeff Bellune. He creates most of his tutorial videos with Camtasia and Premiere Pro.
Good luck,
Hunt
