I have a 15 MacBook Pro retina display, with an external thunderbolt display. Since the 13.1 update, all files that I open in Photshop open at 50% zoom. How can I reset it so they open at 100%? It's really annoying to have to constantly zoom everything that is opened up.
I thought documents are supposed to open so that the image fits in the workspace (I use Tabbed view).
Do the images fit if they're zoomed to 100%?
You are correct, that the documents are zoomed out (less than 100%) if necessary to fit on the screen. And, these do fit at 100%... with AMPLE room to spare.. It's only since the 13.1 update that ALL documents are opened by default at 50%. Even gifs/jpgs that are only like 150x150 pixels.
As a work-around to your problem:
1. Make an action that zooms the window to 100% (Photoshop calls it Actual Pixels)
2. In Scripts Events Manager assign that action to the File Open event.
From now on every image will open at 100%
