Are you doing any editing before printing your photo with PSE?
Please mention your exact steps here. Also share the file format you are printing.
No editing. in PSE11 i'm selecting Print from File and following the dialoge box. This results in vertical lines. When I export the fiel to a "print folfer" I have created and print using Windows Picture iew it is fine, no lines.
Please make sure that you have handled the color management of PSE correctly.
For color management handling do the following:
Scenario 1. If you're known and familiar to your printer profile, the type of paper you are using and if you have any other customization done for your printer profile then in this case please select Printer Manages Color in Color Handling drop down under color management of PSE.
To achieve this, follow these following steps.
1. Launch Print dialog.
2. Click on "More Options..." button.
3. Now select Color management.
4. Here you can see the Color Handling drop down. Please select Printer Manages Color.
Scenario 2. In case you want PSE to handle all color management then please select Photoshop Elements Manages Color in Color Handling drop down.
But note that if you are using this option, make sure the color management of your Printer is off.
Hope this will help you.
In my version of PSE11 I don't get he same dialog box options, only image space and Print Space. Neither of these give me the options discussed.
any other suggestions?

My guess is you are trying to print from the Editor, where there are the limited colour management options you indicate.
Try printing from the Editor. (Select the image, then click on the "Editor" button at the bottom of the screen). There you will find the colour management options that dreambig123 mentions.
Yes, seems like you are using Local Print in Organizer. Try Print in Editor and you will see a lot more options.
