Ask in the AME/ PPro forum. Short answer: You are making a mess of framerates/ footage interpretation. Not at all the programs's fault.
Hi Mylenium, thank you, I will try to frame my problem on the AME/ PPro forum tomorrow, it is late.
I spent 6 hrs trying to figure this out, when I had CS4, things just worked smooth. The Media Encoder, takes any format, changed to any format, and the video plays at like fast forward speed?
I was just wanting to trim a 30 second clip of a music video, so I finally downloaded Windows Movie Maker, and it took 5 seconds to trim the video.
I have a webam Logitech HD 920, it publishes a 1080p H.264 .mp4 widescreen video, what setting do I need to set my "Capture Format" to, DV or HDV? My guess was, it would start with the DV as the default setting, and then I would Choose DV-NTSC, then choose "Widescreen 48kHz".
I am just trying a very simple operation, it should be as easy as 1 - 2 - 3, if I made a mess of framrates, it has to be from my choices upon setting up the project? I am getting a red line at the top of my timeline?
Please forgive me, for I am new to using this program, but I have edited video in CS4, took me 5 seconds to trim videos, and my Media Encoder worked great, now I try the exact same thing and get ****?
Thank you for any help, Rob
Moving this discussion to the Premiere Pro CS5, CS5.5, & CS6 forum.
You shouldn't be guessing. If you don't know what you're doing, learn it first. Then try it out.
My problem now is only with H.264 video in both Priemre Pro and the Media Encoder, AVI and MPEG work fine.
Intel i7 8 core 2600K 3.40 GHz
16 gigs RAM
Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium (was no Proffesional yet when purchased)
GeForce GT 430 (added it to the: "cuda_supported_cards.txt" file located in the programs folder)
Any help would be so greatly appreciated on how to get h.264 videos to work in Premiere Pro CS5? Do not have $1,000.00 for the upgrade, as I am currently out of work.
If the clips come from an AVCHD camera, they should work fine. If they don't, well not all videos will work in PP.
