What format??? AVI can be any one of hundreds or even thousands of codecs. Some are not supported?
As Rick says, we need to know what codec is used in the AVI file. It is very likely that the file uses a codec that you don't have installed on your computer.
What the others said. The naming of the file already implies that this is some hacky pseudo-MPEG4 in an AVI container such as some cheap photo cameras produce it... It may realyl only be viewable through the software that comes with the camera...
