3. Re: Shot mark metadata from C300 not showing up
christeebo1 Dec 20, 2012 6:24 AM (in response to al_bergstein)I didn't export it. To clarify, I set "shot markers" during record on the C300 (there is a function to do this), I also set a "good take" mark. When I import into Premiere, it recognizes the "good take" but not the shot marks that were placed within the clip during record.

John T Smith Dec 20, 2012 8:55 AM (in response to christeebo1)Are you copying the entire folder structure to your hard drive, as mention in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1015001?tstart=0

6. Re: Shot mark metadata from C300 not showing up
al_bergstein Dec 20, 2012 9:19 AM (in response to christeebo1)Just out of curiousity, (I have an XF305 and 105). If you open them in the Canon XF Utility, can you see them in that? If so, then it sounds like a bug in Premiere. The reason I ask the question in the post above, is that there are two ways to export in the utility. One is to copy the whole card, structure and all. The second is to choose "export to MXF" which strips out the folder structure, and I believe, the markers you set in camera. (this added for the sake of future readers of this post). I find that exporting to MXF is much more useful in viewing the files when editing in Pr. I never use markers in camera though. Let us know what you find out if in fact it is a bug, and I'll also check today with my 305.

christeebo1 Dec 20, 2012 9:26 AM (in response to al_bergstein)Yes Al, the XF utility does show the marks fine. I actually don't use the XF Utility to copy and export. I just open the card and copy the contents. Let me try doing it from the utility and I will get back to you. Thanks

9. Re: Shot mark metadata from C300 not showing up
al_bergstein Dec 20, 2012 11:31 AM (in response to christeebo1)I just went in and added shot marks to a CF card of xf305 footage, using the Canon XF utility, and then backed up the media (instead of exporting to MXF) and then opened it off the hard drive in Pr. I agree with Chriseebo1, that I cannot find any markers shown, in any way that I would expect (not on the timeline, nor in the metadata). Where should we be seeing the markers? I mention it because I might start using them for long running video shooting of concerts, etc. Could be useful.
