"Note: Blending modes within a symbol are ignored when you exit the symbol edit mode."
Why? I read in a few forums that this limitation was being worked on in 2009. It's now 3 years later and we still have this limitation!? Surely it can't be that hard to fix. After all in editing mode everything works and looks fine (i.e. interaction with layers below, etc..). Blending modes are really essential and we use them all the time. Symbols are really handy and one of the reasons we use Fireworks. To not use both together seems like a crippling limitation.
