How can I password protect individual pages on website managed using CQ5?

Wordpress has a useful and very basic password protect page function which is available on all pages, it allows you to define a page as public or private with a password. Is this possible simple using CQ5? I tried using the Bravenet password protection tool but it doesn't seem to display correctly.

I'd imagine an easy way would be to create a user in CQ5 which only has read rights.  Then, set permissions for the Everyone group to deny for that page in the user management screen and give Read permission to the public user.  Then of course you need a login page.  If you create a page on your site with a login component (see Geometrixx login component) and configure a mappting for the login page in the "Day Communique Authentication Handler" service, then accessing that page directly would redirect to the login page if not logged in already.
