How do I make Acrobat recognize all my fonts when working with a form?

      Hello.

So I'm making a form. I'm using various text boxes and pull down boxes. I'm at a point now, where I want to use a different font, but when I'm in the appearance tab for the field I'm working with, the font isn't there. Then I saw, that none of my custom fonts are there, just a bunch of system standard fonts and the like.

How do I make Acrobat recognize all the fonts on my machine for use while making forms?

      Thank you very much.

      Jake

It appears PDF form fields only allow certain types of fonts like True Type

Since your on Mac like myself It not necessarily Aodobe. OSX especially Lion (OSX.7.x) and Mountain Lion (OSX.8.x) don't accept Postscript 1,2, and 3 fonts. strictly TrueType Mac and PC and OPen Type. Even Office2011 for Mac only supplies TrueType Fonts.  Post SCript Fonts are going the way of doodoo birds.  In fact Only adobe is the remaining Font house supplying Poscript Fonts as a First choice. Others like LinoType, and Bitstream while Post script is vaiable You have to go to specific page for them on opening page is OpenType. Open Type works perfectly with PostScript Printers. The main adavantage you don't have a Suitcase with a Font foe each point size.

I'd suggest you get FontXchange  Ans convert you Postscript Fonts to OpenType They will look even better and remove your PostScript Fonts.  And they work perfectly with Acrobat.
