    Quality question

    HK223

      Hello,

I am looking looking for some feed back on these two videos, feed back about the quality.

      1st video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nzyfw7qo6yk

      2nd video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_0KU1CVRcs

Both were recorded using a PVR.

When it comes to the rendering, I just the default "HDTV 720p 24 High Quality", I also use the default colour correction settting as well.

Even although they both were rendered using the same settings, I just can help think that first one is alot better quality, what do u think?

I think there are a few things coloring your perception. The first video has more contrast which will, inheriently, make it appear more detailed. The second video also has darker solid tones, so you're more able to see the artifacting in the sky. Encoding is also perceptual so what works for one video may not look as good for another.

What is the codec/bitrate the PVR is using?

What is the bitrate and keyframe distance from the preset you're using in Premiere (I have CS6, and no preset I have is labeled exactly like that, but I assume it's h.264 is some way)?

Is your goal to improve quality or were you just curious about why these seem different?.\
