Are you saying that the shortcuts for Dreamweaver CS3 now opens Dreamweaver CS6? If not can you please provide a bit more detail regarding what you are doing to open Dreamweaver. Also which operating system are you using?

abcschooldr Dec 31, 2012 2:37 PM (in response to Jeff A Wright)Thank you for responding. Yes. The target for Dreamweaver CS3 is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\Dreamweaver.exe" but my trial CS6 Dreamweaver opens with that shortcut "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6\Dreamweaver.exe" My CS3 Dreamweaver will no longer open with the CS3 shortcut.
I am using Windows 7.

1 person found this helpfulIf you navigate to that location are you able to open Dreamweaver CS3 by invoking Dreamweaver.exe?
Moving this discussion to the Dreamweaver General forum as well in case other users have faced a similar difficulty.

Nancy OShea Dec 31, 2012 3:10 PM (in response to abcschooldr)1 person found this helpfulI tried to use both trial Dreamweaver CS6 and purchased Dreamweaver CS3 at the same time.
This is not recommended. Only open ONE version at a time. This goes for all the CS6 products.
You probably just need to point your DW CS3 shortcut back to your CS3 folder.

abcschooldr Dec 31, 2012 3:13 PM (in response to Nancy OShea)Thank you Nancy. It is pointed at: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\Dreamweaver.exe" but Dreamweaver CS6 still loads. I don't know that I will keep Dreamweaver CS6, and I will probably return to CS3 after the trial, so I don't want to lose access to it.

It looks as if Dreamweaver is missing a dll file. Have you tried removing and reinstalling Dreamweaver CS3?
