    fireworks to dreamweaver

    justmust

      Hello.
Fireworks is a great program, I am using 2004 MX.
I usually create jpeg's in photoshop and bring them into fireworks and add slices and
buttons. I then export as html with images and slices and open it into dreamweaver.
Then i upload my folder with the homepage and all linked files to an ftp.
When I view the site the pages open very slow and all the slices are showing little red x's.
It eventually all opens but it breaks the page up into sections exactly where any kind of sice or button or
      dropdown was created.

how do i fix this problem??

          By changing your technique?

The method you describe is a quick-and-very dirty method to get a single
page on the web. It's lousy for building a website, however.

If you are serious about building web pages, you need to learn enough HTML
and CSS that you can use FW as a graphics editor and build the HTML in to
          Dreamweaver.

If you are not interested in doing this, then consider getting something
like "SiteGrinder" (Google that name), which will at least get you most of
the way to a reasonable website....
