What negative effects will renaming the source directory have on my help file topics, graphics etc.  For example, the current directory is c:\PRD and I need to rename it to c:\PRD2.

Renaming the source file directory has no effect what so ever on the physical content. However it will mean that the recently used project list inside RH will no longer be able to find the source forcing you to manually search for the XPJ file.

To avoid confusion you could use the Tools > Options menu item - General tab - to remove the affected projects from the list.

For what it is worth, you can also click on the link whereupon Rh will report it doesn't exist and remove it for you. Then you can browse to the new location.
