I just large sign for a hockey rink. I created it in photoshop and saved it as an eps( the printer requested it be submitted in this form.) The file is very large( 600 mb) and now that I need to open it to edit it photoshop just crashes. I am using photoshop cs5 on 3.06 ghz duo core mac with 4 gb of ram. Does anyone know how to work around this?
Have you not kept the layered psd/tif/psb?
Which platform are you working on?
As I siad in the first message its a mac osx lion, 3.06 ghz duo core. I do have the original pdf with layers. I have tried to flatten the image to make it a little smaller but that seems to destroy many of the effects. Is there a work around?

Sorry, read it inattentively.
You could try opening the eps in Preview and saving a psd, tif, … from there.

I suspect you are not viewing at 100% (cmd-1).
If an effect (of Adjustment Layers, Layer Styles, …) is not there at Actual Pixels-view then it does not actually have an effect.
