What is your operating system & version?
What is your web browser?
OS = Windows 7 Home Premium
Web browser = IE 9
In Programs and Features, it does not show up?
Have you checked if it (Shockwave Flash Object) is enabled in Internet Explorer?
Not sure what "Programs and Features" refers to. It is certainly not listed under programs.
Manage Add-ons indicates Adobe Systems Inc Shockwave Flash Object Enabled.
Pat is referring to Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
Could you please check if ActiveX Filtering is disabled by accessing the following doc: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-games-video-or.html#main_2__Disable_Ac tiveX_Filtering__if_you_are_using_Internet_Explorer_9_
Active X Filtering was enabled and this has now been cleared
Thank you Sunil for providing the solution.
Thank you everyone who offered help.
One day perhaps I can contribute something positive. I look forward to it.
PS We do not have Programs and Features in Control panel, we only have Programs, but this is England, perhaps it got lost in the translation!
