1. Re: Taxes and shipping amounts in the reports
web2creative Jan 8, 2013 12:51 PM (in response to web2creative)OK, I figured it out. To get the tax out, you need to export product detail, sort the list by state, add the tax rate and use the Total Price (which is cost before shipping) to do the reverse tax calculation.

AJMead Jan 13, 2013 6:11 PM (in response to web2creative)I hope there is a better way. On my exported file, Total Price does include the shipping, but Product Total does not. However, my client charges tax on some items and not others, so using the method above turns into a very manual process for them. Is there really no way to generate a report with sales tax itemized?

3. Re: Taxes and shipping amounts in the reports
web2creative Jan 13, 2013 6:42 PM (in response to AJMead)Yes, you are correct. Product Total doesn't include shipping and Total Price does. I mixed them up.
But there is more! (like a bad commercial) The total price also includes discounts and tax. And since you can't separate any of them in their own columns, good luck figuring out how much you paid for either of them. Someone must have reely been deprived of thinking straight when they created this. So unfortunately, (or rather, thoughtlessly) there isn't a way to generate a report with itemized sales tax or shipping. Go figure...

DandyDahlia Aug 17, 2014 9:25 PM (in response to web2creative)Bumping this 1 year old post - does anyone know how we can work out shipping charged on invoices?
I did an excel cross check of total price of invoice less goods bought but some had a negative freight as there was a discount that doesn't show anywhere either.. any ideas?
(PS I just started an online chat and was told An online representative will be with you shortly. You are number 8 in queue. Your wait time will be approximately 103 minute(s). Thank you for waiting. LOL Must be a bad day in support today...)

AJMead Oct 6, 2014 9:03 AM (in response to web2creative)Sorry I never replied, DandyDahlia, but this continues to plague me as well. Every quarter I manually generate the sales tax totals in a spreadsheet. Now my clients need the report monthly and would be glad to do it themselves if there were a more simple solution. I'm afraid that after all this time there still is not. Ugh. Thankfully their product sales volume is not large. I have switched to developing my new eCommerce sites on a different platform.
