After migrating my files from my old MacPro (OS 10.7.5) to my new iMac (OS 10.8.2), I notice that InDesign 5.5 crashes on startup. I've read some of the posts in this forum and elsewhere, but can't seem to find a solution.
Is there a solution to this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
The solution is to uninstall the adobe software and reinstall it from the original disks, running the Cleaner Tool inbetween. Adobe software doesn't do well with a migration.
Thanks. Do you need to reinstall just InDesign or the complete CS5.5 Suite? The other apps from the suite -- Photoshop, Illustrator, etc, -- seem to be working okay after the migration.
Where is Cleaner Tool located?
Is this Adobe/migration issue something new with Mountain Lion? I just migrated an older machine using CS4.0 and didn't experience the same InDesign/crash issue.
Again, thanks for the info.
The reinstall worked. Thanks.
