1. Re: My edge site does not work in IE9 or lower, how do I fix this?
heathrowe Jan 8, 2013 5:09 AM (in response to alayna11)Link reference? Project files?
Was it working for IE9 as you were building it?
It should be fine for IE9, but for earlier versions you need to encorporate down-level browser support suing the File > Publish > Settings Web area.

alayna11 Jan 8, 2013 5:34 AM (in response to heathrowe)hi
sorry i meant IE8 not IE9, the downlevel function just lets you incorporate a screen shot. My navigation is made in Edge so an image would not suffice.

heathrowe Jan 8, 2013 9:42 AM (in response to alayna11)Older browsers will unlikely support the modern transitions so you will have to opt for the Publish settings > enable Google Chrome Frame option, then publish.

alayna11 Jan 9, 2013 3:53 AM (in response to heathrowe)thanks for the help, if i select enable google chrome frame option does that mean the viewer, if on IE8 downloads that plugin (via the prompt) and then can see the site work as I made it in Edge Animate?
Cheers.

heathrowe Jan 9, 2013 10:22 AM (in response to alayna11)Yes the end user will be able to view the animation - though best to verify if you have access to a down-level browser.
Here is also a brief overview of the Publish options - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-edge-animate/publishing-and-integration/

6. Re: My edge site does not work in IE9 or lower, how do I fix this?
alayna11 Jan 11, 2013 12:02 AM (in response to heathrowe)Thanks Darrell. Do you know if there is any other way to view the downstate besides having access to an old computer? I have IE8 on an old PC but unplugging and replugging etc is time consuming.
Also I could not get the URL function on the downstate to do anything, and there was no prompt to install google chrome frame plugin.

shadowfax007 Jan 12, 2013 5:31 AM (in response to alayna11)Have you tried using Adobe Browser Lab?
https://browserlab.adobe.com/en-us/index.html
I'm not sure how accurate it is. To test to see if an animation is working, I set the "snapshot (Browser Lab works by taking snapshots of hte webpage) to pause for 6-8 seconds. This way I can tell if the animation is playing by the screenshot.
