In terms of your question, what do you mean by an Adobe type manager font? The Adobe Type Manager is a long-discontinued product from the days of MacOS 9 (and earlier) and Windowx'9x.
Unless you have a font named Myriad C installed on your system, of course you are going to get a missing font indication! The Myriad fonts currently (and since 2000) licensed by Adobe (including fonts bundled with Adobe applications) are OpenType CFF fonts with the base font name Myriad Pro with various style names. Perhaps Myriad C is an old 20th century Macintosh Type 1 version of Myriad, possibly the condensed style? If that's the case and you don't have that old font installed on your system and none of the existing Myriad Pro typefaces installed on your system meet your needs, you may need to go to Adobe's website and license the appropriate typeface. See <http://store1.adobe.com/cfusion/store/html/index.cfm?store=OLS-US&event=displayFontPackage &code=1706>, <http://store1.adobe.com/cfusion/store/html/index.cfm?store=OLS-US&event=displayFontPackage &code=1707>, and <http://store1.adobe.com/cfusion/store/html/index.cfm?store=OLS-US&event=displayFontPackage &code=1708> for available Myriad Pro typefaces.
I've branched this to its own topic.
Dov, while I agree this sounds like an ancient font, I find it puzzling that it looks like the OP is able to use the font once to create the text, but that it then becomes missing after importing the tagged text that he created and imported on the same system.
Yes Peter. That is my problem. Myriad family fonts are installed in machine and by applying one of the font from this family (Myriad C), Iam able to compose text also. I export this text to text file as indesign tagged text and when I try to place this text file to a text frame in the same document or a new document, the missing font message appears. Indesign says that it cannot find the Myriad C font. Why it is happening during 'place' operation only?
The only thing I can think of is there's some issue with internal naming in the font, but I really don't know a lot about how fonts work or why ID would use a differnt name during export to Tagged Text.
This is solved. The problem was with user account access to this font family at OS level. With some changes in the user profile at OS level, the problem get solved.
Thanks for your help.
