We have a workflow aiming to ease our tranlsation process, that involvesmapping tags to our styles. Exporting the document as xml. Manipulating the xml using a shell script to produce a csv file that uses ~ as seperators rather than commas. Next our tranlsators work with the csv file that we then run through another utility to produce a second xml file, tagged as before but with the tranlsated text. This is then imported into InDesign to give us a new formatted translated document. Until recently this worked fine.
However since our upgrade to CS6 the import does not produce correctly formatted documents. Although the characted styles are exactly as we would expect and table seem OK, the paragraph styles are not being applied and carriage returns are also missing. As this has happened since the upgrade to CS6 I am suspecting that in the background the way the import or the way that the tags are mapped to styles has changed.
The xml files we make at both points are valid and conatin the text we would expect. We are using Indesign CS6 8.0.1, Mac OSX 10.6.8. I am adding screenshots of a document before and after import.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
