A basic issue I should have conquered a long time ago: Been working on my site in the xampp/htdocs location, I want to move back to my other site so I can upload to my non-local server. What is the best way to do this? If do a 'save as' of my html or php file back to the non-local file location, the links to css get messed up. Of course I change the href in the code to reference the original files location, which I know is correct, but there are still no styles, and I get prompted that css is not on local disc, etc, etc. All this while the sylesheet shows up as seemingly connected, next to the source code.
Thanks for your help.
Site is defined with remote, local and testing folders, right?
And now you want to to transfer files from your local testing server to remote server.
Is that correct?
Yes that's correct. Should I just define a remote server from within my htdocs location, and stay within the site there?
My advice is to define your Testing server site folder (xampp/htdocs/yoursite) as your local site folder. That way you don't have to maintain duplicate sets of files.
When you expand the files panel, you should have remote site on one side and local/testing server files in the other.
