Do you speak English?
This would be quite simple using styles. Whether the style should be a regular nested style or a GREP style may depend on where the prices occur in the text.
Aniek wants to increase existing prices by 1.8%, and GREP cannot do calculations.
Aniek: try if this works for you: http://indesignsecrets.com/free-script-to-change-all-numbers-in-a-document-using-math.php
Well, I was depending on Google translate and thought it meant increase the SIZE of the prices, not the value, which would be easy with a style. But I defer to you.
Bing translator, which I most often use:
I would like to in a document, a quick way, all imported prices increase by 1.8%.
How can I on such quick way with just a few clicks all prices increase by 1.8%?????
I work with InDesign CS3!!
jongware--neat script find.
Yeah I got the same thing. I think I'm just fuzzy-headed this morning -- seems much clearer on re-reading.
In this particular case I don't need Google or Bing
I would like to quickly increase all imported prices in a document by 1.8%.
How can I do so with a few clicks increase all prices by 1.8%?????
I'm working with InDesign CS3 !!
I'd love a fast response !
.. I must confess to Aniek I don't know if the script I mentioned will actually run on CS3. That version is fairly old by now. Scripts are relatively ignorant of the actual InDesign version they run on, but "relatively" is, of course, a relative term.
Yes, i would like to know how I can increase all prices by 1,8%... I use InDesign CS3...
So please help. I can't contact anyone about it.. I've called Adobe... but they can't help me by phone!
I try it this way, but as yet no solution from anyone...
And I use Windows 7.. so the Link from [Jongware] I can't use these information..
Aniek, the screen shot in that post is from a Mac, but the same script works on Windows as well.
I just tested it in CS3 on Win7, and it works great.
