Does your laptop have two graphics cards? I have an HP laptop that does, and Premiere CS6 won't run on the Intel HD card but it will on the ATI Radeon card. I just hjave to tell the laptop to switch over.
Yes, only the Intel card is recognised and I cannot find anything on how to switch to the Raedon. Can you help? I though of disabling the intel but have not done so in case I cannot get the laptop to run up again
Thanks for you prompt Eric.
I remoted onto my friends computer and started looking for Catalyst to see if I could force the change of the graphics card, but there was no catalyst app installled so I right clicked on the desktop to take me to the control panel properties and there in the menu list was the catalystic sitchable graphics card configuration. I swear that wasn't there the last time I looked..
I clicked on that and all I need do was point to the application and then change the setting from Power to Performance.
I then opened Premiere and away we went all worked.
Sometimes in this world all we need is someone to point us in a direction which says it can be done for us to find the way we can.
Thank you for you kind pointer...
I hope this may help some other soul with a dual graphics card laptop.
All the best for twenty thirteen.
You have already fixed the problem, but here are some past discussions (I'm sick w/cold [hope not flu] or I would have posted this yesterday)
