I am using InDesign to create a product brochure. One of the pages includes text elements and an image. I have created the text and all looks fine. When I place the image, however, the text goes blurry and pixelated. Even once the document has been exported to PDF, the text on the affected pages does not look right. The image that I am trying to place is an AI file. I have also tried importing as a JPEG. Any ideas as to why this is happening or how I can fix it, please? It's driving me up the wall!
Many thanks in advance
Sounds like transparency issue. Try to bring your text to front of image.... image´s transparency affects only objects behind it....
Thank you for the response. The text is already at the front. I have tried moving the various objects to the front/back but the problem is still there. The only thing that fixes the issue with the text is removing the image - not a great solution as we need to keep the image and the text!
Can you show us a screen shot of the expanded layers panel showing both the image and the affected text? It would help if you select them.
