Does anyone else get this problem? If you create a shape in the title creator, then select 4 color gradient, and specify 0% opacity at 1 end, Premiere CS6 creates this wierd fishtail on the transparent end. I don't use the Linear gradient as you don't seem to be able to have such a gradual tail-off.
I've tried this in a colleagues version of CS4, and no such problem - nice smooth gradient to the very end.
Would appreciate any pointers if I am being an idiot here!
Yes this is a know 'bug'.
When you turn off GPU hardware the gradient is as it should be.
Workaround for now is to export the lower third as uncompressed with alpha then put it back on the timeline.
Many thanks Ann - it's good to know I am not going mad, I will try the workaround.
Sorry that should be QT with animation and 32 bit depth.
(I was thinking AE)
In previous versions of Premiere you can choose Microsoft avi.
